WhatsApp Buddy

1. I want to share this (click the “Share” icon)
2. (wait a second for the share menu to come up)
3. I want to send it to someone on WhatsApp
4. (wait a second for the list of recipients to come up)
5. I want to send it to this person (next)
6. (wait a second for the Compose box to come up)
7. This is where I can write a message to go along with it if I want
8. “Send”

With my shortcut, once you select the person’s contact info when you download it, you can send a link to that person with one tap.

When you download the app onto your phone, it will ask you to pick a contact from your list of contacts. This is will be the person who receives the message. The shortcut will only let you choose 1 person. (You can change the name of the shortcut on your phone and download it again to get around this.)

Once you have downloaded it and set up your contact, here's how to use it:

1. You see something you would like to send to that person. Click the Share icon.
2. Scroll down until you see “WhatsApp Buddy” in the list of options and give it a tap
3. (The shortcut will open up WhatsApp and the item you selected to share will be visible in the compose box.)
4. Tap “Send”

1. When you have selected the thing you want to share, the shortcut gets the URL of that thing.
2. Then it creates a new WhatsApp message and addresses it to the person you select during set up.
3. Then it inserts the URL into that WhatsApp message.
4. Then it gives you the chance to add a message, and press Send.
